Jason Flick - Instructor

Jason Flick is a full-time police officer with nearly 15 years of experience.  The last 7 years have been spent as a Detective in the Special Investigations Unit, conducting covert investigations involving narcotics offenses, prostitution, human trafficking, and firearms violations.  Jason has received hundreds of hours of advanced investigative training in surveillance tactics, narcotics investigations, undercover operations, gang and drug cartel investigations, homicide and major crimes investigations, interview and interrogation and firearms investigations.  Jason has experience instructing for law enforcement and civilians throughout Ohio on search warrant preparation, search and seizure issues, and human trafficking investigations.

Jason has been a member of the department SWAT team for over 11 years.  The last 8 years he has been assigned as a Sniper and currently serves as the Sniper team leader.  Jason has received advanced tactical training in sniper tactics, high-risk warrant service, hostage rescue tactics and is a member of the Ohio Tactical Officer’s Association.  Jason has received numerous commendations during his career including a Police Chief’s Commendation Award of Valor for a distinguished act of bravery during an officer-involved shooting incident in 2007 and a Letter of Commendation for actions taken during a 30 hours hostage standoff in 2018.  

Jason received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Wittenberg University in 2004 where he played four years of intercollegiate baseball for the Tigers.  Jason also holds a Master of Science in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University which he received in 2010.
